Delta to fly NY-JFK and London at $199 round trip

Delta Airlines has started selling seats on its new daily round-trip flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and London’s Gatwick Airport. Set to commence on November 15, 2006, the airline is offering special introductory fares for as low as $199 (exclusive of taxes) round trip.

A second daily round-trip flight is being planned by Delta for May 1, 2007. Although final approval of its newest trans-Atlantic route is expected within the next few weeks, Delta says customers can purchase tickets for these new flights at delta.com and through other ticketing channels effective immediately.

The new flights, subject to final government approval, will operate as follows:
