N&P cuts rates on 5-, 10-year mortgages

Sep 11, 2006

Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (N&P) has significantly reduced the rates on its five- and ten-year mortgage products effective immediately. As a result, the society’s five-year fixed rate scheme comes down from 5.44 percent to 5.18 percent; 5.84 percent to 5.58 percent; and 5.68 percent to 5.44 percent.

N&P’s ten-year mortgage products now also offer similar savings with the new rates. In addition, N&P’s first-time buyer mortgage rate for a five-year deal is now reduced from 6.38 percent to 6.18 percent, resulting in even more savings for individuals looking to purchase their first home.
