Halifax to open branch at Windsor’s Peascod Street

Halifax is set to open a new branch on Peascod Street in Windsor on September 18, 2006. Located at 26 Peascod Street, the Halifax branch will offer the services of 13 full-time employees, four cashier points, eight interview rooms and four ATMs.

To celebrate the branch’s opening, Halifax will be holding a “Premiere” opening event starting at 9am on September 21. Stars from the new Halifax High Interest Current Account TV ad are expected to be at the branch all day to meet and greet new and existing customers. In addition, Halifax will hold a prize draw that includes, as first prize, a trip for two to see a Broadway show in New York. Other prizes include an LCD High Definition TV and two pairs of tickets to see the show Chicago with an overnight stay in a London hotel.

Halifax says it will be opening 100 new branches across the south of England over the next five years. A further six Halifax branches are planned to open before the end of 2006.
