In a recently published report titled
“Worldwide Online Access: 2004–2010,” eMarketer is predicting that about 12
million UK
households will have broadband internet access by the end of 2006.
The tech market research firm says the
figure is a 33 percent improvement from the approximately nine million UK
households who had broadband connection in 2005.
The table below breaks down these figures
by access technology and also provides long-term forecasts until 2010.
